Shaun White displays peak form in halfpipe final

Looking to add a third gold medal in the halfpipe, the world’s most famous snowboarder is off to a flashy start.

Shaun White showed he’s still very much a threat to win gold, soaring into the lead on his first run in the men’s halfpipe final tonight.

The gold medalist in Torino in 2006 and Vancouver in 2010, White finished fourth in his event four years ago in Sochi. Still just 31, White ripped off a dominant run to start his fourth Olympics.
